The Comeback

 The Comeback

Just as I hoped, I am writing this post from the office and not from home, YAY ! Indeed, we came back to work with everyone : the classes as well ! I am so glad to comeback to a little bit of normalcy, it is a ray of sunshine, and it is as well for the kids of course. Moreover, to join that good news, the sun is making a comeback as well and allows us to take advantage out of the slight loosening of the restrictions.

 A lot of tasks were waiting for us in the office and with the different groups as of course some of them could only be managed on site and not online, such as working more precisely on the texts and show, starting to develop the scenography as Myrto is doing with the help of Patricia (who comes here from a university of design in order to complete an internship). We are also in a project-developping process one could say, trying to find new activities and motivating prospects especially for summer, however the future being so unsure concerning what we will be able to do or not, where to go and so on, that makes it all the more difficult.

Concerning the different groups that I mentionned earlier, they now all have helpers/assistants ! Of course Myrto and I are still there in our groups, but some of the students and volunteers from the academy are now part of the adventure as well, such great news to see everyone get involved.

We adapted to the norms and managed to maintain a kind of harmony but we are also finding different ways to diffuse the academy's work and activities, through videos on social media for instance, we would love to remind people as well that art is essential through these times and that everyone needs an outlet.

But don't get me wrong we are still making plans and going forward, yesterday we interviewed the next ESC volunteer who is going to come here this summer, sadly I wont be able to meet her but I was glad to share a bit of my ongoing experience with her.
